Review - "We stayed in Lloydminster for 2 nights. The Hospitality Inn is new, having opened in May 2006. From the first moment walking in the doors to when we checked out and left, it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was so friendly. The rooms were so lovely, with really comfy beds and plasma tvs on the wall. We were on the 4th floor, which required the room key to access, it was so nice and quiet. The most amazing part was the breakfast. They say they offer a european continental breakfast. All we could say was "wow!!!!" They had fresh squeezed orange juice, all kinds of pastries, eggs, meat and cheeses. And the most yummy waffles! My whole family was so impressed. The owner was around both mornings during breakfast, talk about a nice guy. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope we go back to Lloydminster again so we can enjoy it again! Another thing, it didn't impact us, but it's attached to the city's sports complex, so if you're going for a hockey tournament, this place would be really convenient."

Review - "My friend & I stay at the Avalon every July for a week for the past three years. We just love it. The rooms are very clean, & the beds are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly, if you need something they are right there to assist you. The motel is in a great location, there is a Tim Hortons right across the street & Smittys is right next door & it is within walking distance from downtown for shopping & the beach is only a couple blocks away , what more could you ask for? If you just feel like relaxing one day there is a real nice area in the motels yard to do that . Like I said we love it there & we hope to stay there next July if we can get away. For anyone who wants to go on a relaxing, but fun trip I would highly suggest The Avalon Inn in Osoyoos B.C."

The Attic is my favorite room, but they're all beautiful. Originally a gold-rush era "House of ill-repute" the hotel has been completely renovated and contains many unique antiques and relics of the Gold Rush. Whether you're stying in the hotel or not, I recommend visiting the pub. They offer nightly drink and food specials, and the staff is always friendly. Overall it's a place with a good feeling."

Review - "We spent 16 days traveling all over Alaska and this was hands-down our favorite place. I have never, ever seen such clean, inviting cabins! I am such a clean freak that I bring our own sheets no matter how expensive the hotel, but in this place I was completely comfortable. When we arrived the cabin was pre-heated and the lights on for us. The shower was sparkling clean with nice fluffy towels and a heat lamp. We stayed in the Bush Pilot room, and it was decorated well without being cutesy. The bed was very comfortable and there was a cool guest log and it looks like In the morning the owner made us Belgian waffles, coffee, juice, eggs and homemade berry jams (included in the room price). We could take a tray back to our room but we chose to sit in the breakfeast nook with her while she told us great stories of homesteading and raising sled dogs. The rest of staff too was crazy helpful, and the grounds were really interesting with exhibits everywhere. The gift shop was full of a diverse collection and seriously reasonable prices and we got a lot of our gift shopping done there. We saw some of the best prices for local arts there. We bought a sled dog harness and got advice on how to begin running dogs (the owners ran and finished the first Iditarod). It was truly a highlight of a really extensive, wonderful exploration of Alaska! We will for sure go back the next trip."

The reason I am familiar with places to stay in Valdez is because it is one of two closest supply areas for me during the summer season which I spend in the Wrangell Mountains. In case you doubt my creditability, at least as far as connections with this enterprise go, I know nothing about the owners other than to have met the old boy who owns the joint on a number of my visits."

Review - "A good overall stay. This is classed as a motel but you cannot get you car to the door of the room. However this is a popular motel with business travellers which is a good sign. I arrived at 1pm out of main season and got the last of 50 rooms. Its attractions are that it is only 12 miles from Denali NP, has small but clean rooms with large bathrooms ,large tv and wireless internet, all for around $70. Its restaurant has attracted adverse comment in the past which I can understand.It is quirky but the food is ok. You have to enter thru the bar and if you want a drink with meal you have to sit in a seperate area and get the drink yourself from the bar! This is also a smoking area. A smoke free meal with a glass of wine is not possible. This seems strange but then I am English The reception is laid back; not sure if we have a room but friendly. I would stay again."

Orders for omelettes/quiches must be placed the day before, and you then reheat the items yourself in the morning. An array of juices, cereals and homemade baked goods are available, as well as coffee and a selection of teas. We were not always successful in getting our breakfast order in as there were many times when there was no one in the office to accept the order. There is daily maid service, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this B & B.”

For me, I saved $90 by staying here instead of at the Goldbelt. In exchange, I had to put up with a little noise, no elevator, the room opening to the outside, and much more sparse furnishings inside (There's no clock in the room, but you can get wake-up calls). For me, it was worth it for one night. I wouldn't recommend statying here for more than a night or two, though, because it just isn't nice enough to be indicative of a true Alaska vacation.”

Review - "What a great cabin! Ann Marie and I have spent three of the most relaxing days here at Riverview Lodge. We have basked in the quiet and serenity of this cabin and enjoyed the company of our best friends... each other. In this journal, we read about Alex proposing marriage to Allisa on the balcony with their best friends present. We've read about the Jackson, Wilson, Branch and Robinson families sharing Christmas 2006 here. On the table is a basket of wine corks from other guests and friends. They contain messages from those who have been here at Riverview Lodge before us... and moments form the life of Gary and Lissa Knight... the owners.I suggest that you, the travelers that follow in our wake, use this time to move closer to friends, family and God. Make a few memories to take on the quest, which is the rest of your life. Ann Marie and I made a fire by the gazebo, which sits along the banks of the Toccoa River, and shared several hours of conversation and hot tea. Review - "This hotel is a very economical option in Rochester and is connected to the Mayo clinic by the underground walkway which is very convenient if you are going there. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom which is a stckler for me. There is also a small, empty refrigerator in the room which was left open and left a slight smell in the room. An ironing board and iron is not available in the room and there is no option for movies. Of course no room service but lots of restaurants close by. There is an interesting notice left on the bathroom sink that asks the guest to use the supplied "rag" for removing make-up or cleaning up dirty things rather than using the good linens (which are OK but postage stamp size.) Would recommend with caveats."

Review - "My husband and I stayed at the Ramada recently for a wedding. We arrived two hours early hoping to check in but our room was not ready. Totally understandable so we went out to lunch and came back to see if it was ready yet and it was not. So we walked around the hotel and then sat in the lobby to wait for our room. It was ready at check in time. Nothing to complain about but I would have be impressed with an earlier check in. There are no queen sized beds in the hotel, so we ended up getting a room with two doubles. Well, my husband is 6'2 so when it came to going to sleep, we slept in separate beds. Oh well. The room we stayed in was in the newer part of the hotel and was pretty standard. There was a refrigerator and microwave which was nice. The TV was a flat screen and a decent size. Overall, our experience in the room was fine. We didn't hear anything and it was very spacious."

It is located pretty much in the center of the activities of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Cades Cove. Many mornings you can look into the mountains and see why they are called the Smokies.
